Algebra 2 TA Office Hour (Online)

Office Hour: Students may sign up for a 15-minute, one-on-one online TA session up to 2 times each month. Before bringing homework questions to TA office hours, students are expected to review the posted solutions. Only bring questions if clarification is still needed after reviewing those materials. Other general questions related to class material are also welcome.

Optional Date/Time: Wednesday 7PM – 8PM Central Time or Friday 6PM – 7PM Central Time

Email info@momentumlearning.org to schedule the TA session no later than 3:00 PM on the day before your chosen date.

Class Description: Algebra 2 A is the first semester of a full year course. The course begins with a review of linear and quadratic functions to solidify a foundation for learning new functions. Students make connections between verbal, numeric, algebraic, and graphical representations of functions and apply this knowledge as they create equations and inequalities that can be used to model and solve mathematical and real-world problems. Mathematical practices and habits of mind are embedded throughout the course, as students solve novel problems, reason abstractly, and think critically.

Recommended Grades: 9-12

Prerequisite: Completion of Geometry

Suggested Course Materials

  • A laptop, a Chromebook or a tablet
  • Graphing Calculator
  • Notebook
