Ibrahim Albayrak, Ph.D.

Dr. Albayrak earned his Ph.D. in Experimental Nuclear Physics from the Hampton University, Jefferson Laboratory. He spent eight years conducting research at Jefferson Lab. Along with his research assignments, Dr. Albayrak taught a variety of physics classes in classical mechanics, electrodynamic, and quantum mechanics. Currently, in addition to his duties at Jefferson Lab, he is teaching physics and engineering courses at The Governor’s School for Science and Technology in Virginia.

Dr. Albayrak has the ability to present abstract concepts in a way that can be easily understood, especially to a younger audience. He uses his communication skills to bring enthusiasm and rigor to his classrooms to inspire young learners.

All instructional materials from the camp, including recorded sessions, will remain accessible for an additional three months following the conclusion of the camp. Zoom and Canvas platforms will be utilized for delivery and access to these resources.

Class Description

Momentum Learning proudly presents an enriching online course for AP Physics 1, providing students with a dynamic and comprehensive learning experience. This course is designed to delve into the fundamental principles of physics, covering topics such as mechanics, energy, and waves. Our expert instructors guide students through engaging lessons, interactive activities, and real-world applications to deepen their understanding of physics concepts. With a focus on problem-solving, our AP Physics 1 class aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the AP exam. Join us on a journey of exploration and discovery as we make the complexities of physics accessible and enjoyable in our online learning environment. Once students complete this course, they can proceed to AP Physics C or prepare for the F=ma contest.

Homework
Weekly homework will be assigned. It will take approximately 2 hours to complete.

Intro to Physics Prerequisite: 8th to 10th graders who have completed Geometry. No prior physics knowledge required.
