Burridge, Ph.D.

Dr. Burridge earned his math degree from Yale University and completed his Ph.D. in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Burridge’s interest in math started early. Starting in 8th grade he took math classes at NYU. Dr. Burridge took the first two AIMEs that existed (’83 and ’84), and was a member of NYC’s ARML team both those years.

In recent years, Dr. Burridge has focused on teaching various levels of Contest Math and Physics. He has been coaching a MATHCOUNTS Team in TX for seven years. He was the Texas State MATHCOUNTS Coach in 2022 Nationals where his team placed third. In his spare time, he enjoys playing chess, bridge, ultimate frisbee and disc golf.

Osman Nal, Ph.D.

Dr. Nal has a deep passion for teaching math and its applications. He has special interest in utilizing games and experiments to explain fundamental ideas and concepts in math, economics and finance.

He’s also been helping high school students prepare for math Olympiads over the years. Some of his students went on to become MOSP attendees, USA(J)MO Honorable Mentions and USA(J)MO Winners. Each year more than 60 of his students at Momentum Learning qualified for USA(J)MO. Among them, 4-8 students qualify for MOSP.

In addition, Dr. Nal also teaches at AoPS. Dr. Nal also creates his own videos with solutions to USAMO and other math problems in his YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/osmannal) with over 7,500 subscribers. The Channel is growing every day with over a hundred videos that can be used as a resource for those starting their journey to Olympiad problem solving.
